Notifiable Disease
It has been confirmed that a notifiable venereal disease has been diagnosed in a Devon-based stallion. The condition, contagious equine metritis (CEM), was found following routine testing in March.
The animal is stabled alone and has remained isolated and had a previous negative swab when it was last tested in January. It is understood that the stallion originated from outside the UK.
