Lateral luxation of the patellar
In this condition the patellar is located permanently out of the groove that it normally glides in.
Signs
The affected animal is unable to extend the stifle and in some case is unable to stand. This can occur intermittently as with upward fixation of the patellar.
Treatment
The patellar must be surgically relocated.
