Pelvis
Introduction
The pelvis is made up the bones, the ilium, pubis and ischium, and is attached tightly to the sacrum and lumber vertebrae by the sacroiliac joints. The hip joint is a ball and socket joint between the pelvis and the femur and is held together by a strong ligament, the round ligament.
Lameness caused by pelvic problems are realitively rare.
